Madisono's local basil grown by school kids

We at Madisono's Gelato and Sorbet stand by our commitment to buy local whenever possible. We were very happy to collaborate with some very savvy farmers and business-minded grade school aged kids from Vermont school in Wyoming, Ohio. Jeff, an employee of Madisono's had his own kids participate in this innovative program and proposed to Matt Madison that they purchase some basil for the lemon basil sorbet. Of course!

The children were already growing basil in their school garden, among other produce and selling at the Wyoming Farmers Market.
